Heavy Machinery Records and City of Melbourne are proud to present the world premiere of Scale II by Sow Discord.
David Coen aka Sow Discord is a Melbourne/Naarm-based electronic artist that has been making music and pushing the envelope across an extensive list of projects for two decades. Aside from Sow Discord he is also a part of Doom outfit Whitehorse handling electronics and percussion.
The next chapter in Coen’s ongoing Scale series; Scale II explores dissonance, density, and oppressive atmospheres – combining the gargantuan ominous tones of the Melbourne Town Hall Grand Organ with manipulated field recordings, mutilated samples and hallucinatory electronics. The result is an immersive journey through extremities of dark psychedelia, doom, avant hip hop, deconstructed techno and harsh noise. Sow Discord creates a unique apocalyptic vision on this groundbreaking hybrid release.
For the launch show we are very excited to be hosting two outstanding supports – the mind-bending hardcore punk of Geld (Relapse Records) and wild electronic sounds of Wolftöne.
